Comparanator

The Comparanator is for seeing how you compare - to percentile values from a large group, to specific members of a peer group, to a 12 month moving average, or to a budget.  Large comparison groups are defined in the Company Stats module and are distributed to group members as “meta data” so that no single group member’s privacy is compromised.  Smaller peer groups are defined using CSF files, and require each peer group member to have access to the other members’ MTX files (see Appendix D).

Actual vs. 12 month average (you should show an example of this from ITSI e.g. Total Sales).  The 12 month average is really useful in discerning trends when the data is highly seasonal.

Actual vs. industry benchmarks published by RMA * (requires subscription)

CSF Group Members (compare to your own benchmarks, or to your own small peer group or your own multiple locations)

Actual vs. Budget vs. Last Year

      Actual vs Next Year Budget

From the DataViewer module, right-mouse-click on the Comparanator icon  to see what your comparison options are.

We’ll select the first one: Actual vs. 12 Month Avg. because the 12 month average is really useful in discerning trends when the data is highly seasonal.  Click “ok” to see a line graph:
