Now that you have your balance sheet and P&L data in two CSV files, it is time to load them into SurvivalWare. Start SurvivalWare, click on Load Data from the Main Menu, and you will get this screen:

Click the Browse buttons to the right of the space for the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss data files to select the CSV files you exported from your accounting software. Make sure the Balance Sheet is the first file, and the Profit and Loss (i.e. Income Statement) is the second one. SurvivalWare gets confused if you get them mixed up.
After you have completed this task, you should see the path and names of the data files you will be loading into SurvivalWare.
Click on the View button to view the CSV file in a grid to make sure this is the one you want:

Click on any cell in the grid to get rid of the display:

If you already have a row map file, click on the Browse button next to the Row Map line, and select a row map file:

Click on the Import Data icon to load the data into SurvivalWare:

You will get a couple of messages indicating the load was successful:

If this is the first time you’ve loaded data and you do not have a Row Map file, you will need to first create one as discussed below.
