The Import Data Trigge

If you have data that has not been loaded into SurvivalWare, and click the Import Data icon to trigger the load data process, which takes all the data from your CSV file and puts it into rows and columns (called a matrix file) in SurvivalWare according to the current row map file.

Note: SurvivalWare also keys on the column names in the CSV file to figure out where the data belongs.  It will ignore columns named “Total”.  It figures out that “Jan 31, 2008” or “Jan 2008” corresponds to the Jan 2008 column in SurvivalWare.  If nothing comes in during the import, check the column names in the CSV file first. (See the Ideal Data Format section for a discussion on how to set up your CSV files.)
