The Mechanics of Row Mapping

Click on the Row Map icon to get to the mapping screen:

The left pane contains the name of all the line items contained in the two CSV files from QuickBooks (or other source).  The right pane contains the standard Fort Knox Foundation Model chart of accounts.  The bottom left pane displays each row name, the values in that row, and it’s current mapping status.  This pane also includes headers from the balance sheet and P&L that help you keep track of where you are within each.

Click on Un-Mapped Only in order to show just those accounts that need mapping:

Click on a row from the top right pane.  Then click on it again and hold the click button down as you drag it to a row in the right pane.  Notice the change in your cursor as you drag the row from the right pane to the left pane:

When you release, the row will disappear from the left pane and show in the right pane:

To move several rows at a time click on the first row, hold the shift key, click on the last row.  Then click and hold on one of the rows, or the blue highlight, and drag it to the right pane.  All rows will be moved:

The idea is to map all of the items from the left to the appropriate SurvivalWare row names on the right.
