Luhring SurvivalWare, Inc. went online in 2002, dedicated to helping small businesses survive and thrive. The original product was called the SurvivalWare Cash Planner, and was available as a free download on the website. It was designed to help entrepreneurs survive severe cash flow problems by juggling payments to fit estimated cash flow. Almost 1 in 10 visitors to the site downloaded the free software.

Today, the Cash Planner is but one component of a rich collection of financial management and analysis tools built to help the business owner better understand and manage his/her business. SurvivalWare has some meaty ETL (Extraction, Translation, and Loading) tools to do the heavy lifting of getting data from disparate sources into a common chart of accounts. SurvivalWare picks up where QuickBooks and Excel leave off.
